Marty and Ashley (along with the help of Tarek) gave a wonderful gift to the camp. It is our prayer that the kids have hours of fun playing.

Cabin Winterization Update

Praise the Lord, The cabin winterization project is complete. Thank you God for ALL of your provisions. Thank for the Christ Community Church, The Crossings at Birchwood, Abundant Life, Ron R., All of our financial and prayer warriors, our families and friends! Without you all, this would have been a very difficult project. But we felt your prayers and God allowed us to bond together in fellowship for His Glory to accomplish His will for Kokrine Hills Bible Camp. As a result, more children, families, and Alaskan Interior traveling missionaries will be able to come this patch of Holy ground along the Yukon River and come to know Jesus as their Redeemer, as their Savior, as their Friend and as their Lord, Amen.

Today is a Saturday 7:50 am Alaska time, we're heading home soon.

Ashley finds a new calling

Mission trips can really stretch you and grow in area where God needs you to focus on. For example Ashley has really grown this week in area of building confidence when exposed to new things. For example, Ashley has found a new calling -- she is handling raw moose meat here. And if handling moose meat isn't enough; Ashley enjoyed several moose meat meals this week.

Super Kit surveying his accompishments

Roger asked for a volunteer to clear some (500 feet) timber at the North end of the landing strip. Having a servant's heart and thirst for adventure, Kit raised his hand. After a couple of minutes, Super Kit was finished by the 10am coffee break with the New York boys.

Hmmmmm ..... but where is his chain saw. Super Kit must have used his bare hands to push 'em down. Wow -- Now that's the Power of the Lord working.

Our Crew Chief David

David is chilling out after completing a full days work.
Hmmmmm, "we have a several bags of insulation left -- what can I do with it? Kit, Mark, David, Howard, and Marty -- I got an idea. We can insulate the connex."

Since we were a little ahead on the cabin project David and Greg conspired to assign us a small side project. It involved using a dozer to lift the connex, raise it up about 20 inches, level it, and install insulation and OSB under the flooring.
So David and I had to get ready for duty. And Kit is feeding us and checking out our handy work.
I guess they thought -- idle hands ...

Fishing Day for the kids

We have the true privilege of having two beautiful kids at camp with us this year. Kyla from The Crossings at Brichwood in Anchorage and Andreas from Abundant Life in Portland. It is very evident these two kids truly love Jesus.
Kyla has been helping her Aunt Viki in the kitchen and feeding us (very well mind you) all week. She truly has a servant's heart. Everyday, the various work teams look forward with great anticipation to an afternoon cookie visit from Kyla.
Andreas, has also been very helpful where ever he is needed. From running tools, to driving nails, to building at log boat dock - you name it Andreas raises his hand to help out.
And their reward for having a servant's heart was a fishing day and moose siting.
Oh, by the way, Tuesday during breakfast, Roger mentioned the need for camp counselors (especially for the grade school camp) -- and true to her serving spirit, Kyla answered the call and will be staying an extra couple of weeks as a counselor!
The Lord's Holy Spirit is actively at work in this place.
